Professional Profile

Shauna joined the firm in 2011, bringing with her a unique perspective gained from several years of litigation practice followed by several years as a law clerk for U.S. Magistrate Judge David Waxse. Shauna's litigation experience includes assisting business clients in various commercial litigation, franchise litigation, creditor rights, and loan enforcement matters, as well as mediations and negotiations. As a federal law clerk, Shauna gained extensive experience in pre-trial procedure and discovery matters which she uses to assist the Firm and its clients in crafting pre-trial and trial strategies in commercial, professional liability, franchise litigation, securities litigation, creditor rights, and class action matters.

Not only does Shauna use her litigation knowledge and experience to benefit clients, but she also uses it to help future lawyers as a faculty member for Notre Dame Law School's Intensive Trial Advocacy Program. Shauna is also active in the local community. She currently serves as a member of the Volunteer Steering Committee for Rose Brooks Center, an organization committed to protecting women and children from domestic violence. In addition, Shauna is involved in the professional community. She is the Chair of the Ross T. Roberts Trial Academy and also serves as a member of the board of directors for the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association – Young Lawyers Section.
