Personal Profile

Ben Carr joined Berkowitz Oliver in 2015, after seven years of practice in Chicago for two major international law firms, where he practiced complex commercial litigation.

Ben continues to focus his practice primarily on commercial litigation.  Ben also has experience in class action defense, patent infringement, trademark infringement, unfair and deceptive trade practices, and pre-litigation counseling matters. During his career, Ben has also been involved in a variety of pro bono matters, including habeas corpus matters and immigration-related litigation. His experience encompasses work on behalf of a broad range of industries and clients, including major tax preparation, accounting, telecommunications, financial, and software companies.

As a litigator, Ben measures success not only through victories in the courtroom but also through achieving the individualized goals of each client. Ben understands that each client and each case is different and requires effective attention to detail in order to receive optimal results.

Before attending law school, Ben was a band director and music teacher for three years in the Indiana public schools. In his free time, he still enjoys listening to and playing jazz and classical music.
