Gilman, Wieland Selected for Service as Court-Appointed Neutrals for the Western District of Missouri Mediation and Assessment Program

Partners Stacey Gilman and Jennifer Wieland are among the 25 individuals selected for inclusion on the Western District of Missouri’s Mediation and Assessment Program’s newly-created List of Category II Neutrals, effective August 1, 2023. The District’s MAP General Order provides that cases assigned to the new “Category II” will be assigned by the MAP Director to one of the individuals included on the Category II Neutral List for mediation or other alternative dispute resolution proceedings. Selection to the Category II List was based in part on a review by the MAP Director and a Western District Judge.

Gilman and Wieland were also selected for inclusion on the List of Category I Neutrals, also effective August 1, 2023, which replaces the Court’s previous “List of Outside Mediators.” Parties will have the option to select their ADR-provider from this list for cases assigned to Category I by the Court.

Gilman’s practice focuses on business litigation, intellectual property, trade secret, restrictive covenant, and other complex commercial matters. She is a graduate of the University of California-Los Angeles and the University of Michigan Law School.

Wieland handles complex litigation matters for businesses and individual clients, primarily in federal court, where she focuses on commercial disputes and employment and intellectual property matters. She is a graduate of the University of Virginia and the University of Virginia School of Law.
