Stephan has significant experience representing business and corporate clients in civil litigation matters, bankruptcy, and collections disputes in state and federal courts.

Stephan specializes in business and commercial litigation and consumer financial services law and represents clients in business litigation, commercial litigation, and student loan cases in state and federal courts in Missouri and Kansas.

He earned his J.D. from the University of Kansas School of Law in 2015 and his B.A. at the University of Chicago in 2009.

Stephan has successfully obtained verdicts, judgments and other favorable rulings for his clients, including:

  • Defense verdicts and dismissals of claims by current and former business customers and competitors;
  • Negotiated favorable outcomes and settlements of claims on behalf of business clients;
  • Verdicts for commercial landlords for breach of lease agreements and personal guarantees.
