Personal Profile

Steve has focused much of his work on representing leading motor vehicle manufacturers and distributors in franchise related matters. Steve has substantial experience litigating and trying cases before federal and state courts and state administrative agencies across the country. He also advises clients on business strategy and compliance in the highly regulated motor vehicle industry.

Steve also has extensive experience representing clients in employment matters across the country.

In addition to representing clients, Steve is qualified as a mediator in Kansas and Missouri and works actively with the EEOC’s pro bono mediation program. He was selected for inclusion on the Western District of Missouri’s Mediation and Assessment Program’s list of Category I Neutrals.

Steve prides himself on understanding his clients’ business needs and working to accomplish their business goals through counseling and, when needed, litigation.

After receiving his undergraduate degree from Duke University, Steve returned home to Kansas to obtain his law degree—allowing Steve to claim allegiance to two of the greatest college basketball traditions.  Outside the office, Steve, a father of four, spends his free time playing sports, reading, and enjoying the outdoors.
