David Oliver has been awarded the Branton/Hall Community Collaborator Award for 2019 by the Junior League of Kansas City, Missouri . David has strong ties with the Junior League: his mother, Trudy Oliver (Gertrude Field Oliver) was president of the JLKCMO in 1944-1945. David knew both Shawsie Branton and Adele Hall, the two women for whom this award is named. He currently serves as a Community Advisor to the C3KC Committee. John Shaw has been nominated as Volunteer of the Year for Junior Achievement of Greater Kansas City for the 2017-18 school year. The mission of Junior Achievement of Greater Kansas City is to inspire and prepare young people to succeed in a global economy. During the 2017-18 school year, more than 950 volunteers helped to equip over 24,000 Kansas City-area students with the skills they need to succeed in both school and the workforce.

David Oliver was honored by ArtsKC with the Virtuoso Award on March 8, 2018, at that organization’s annual Awards Luncheon.
