Megan Costello Co-Chairs KC Hospice Event

Berkowitz Oliver attorney Megan Costello served as co-chair with her husband Joe for the Kansas City Hospice & Palliative Care’s 2018 signature fundraiser event, Sunday Night Live , on September 23. The event raised more than $430,000 to help patients and their families, as well as for Kansas City Hospice’s many community programs that serve individuals dealing with loss and other life transitions. John Shaw has been nominated as Volunteer of the Year for Junior Achievement of Greater Kansas City for the 2017-18 school year. The mission of Junior Achievement of Greater Kansas City is to inspire and prepare young people to succeed in a global economy. During the 2017-18 school year, more than 950 volunteers helped to equip over 24,000 Kansas City-area students with the skills they need to succeed in both school and the workforce.

David Oliver was honored by ArtsKC with the Virtuoso Award on March 8, 2018, at that organization’s annual Awards Luncheon. John Shaw moderated a CLE presentation entitled “Investment and Financial Fraud – Trends and Current Issues in Federal Law Enforcement.” The CLE was sponsored by the local chapter of the Federal Bar Association and the University of Kansas School of Law , and took place at the Charles Evans Whittaker Courthouse in Kansas City, Missouri.
