Partner John Shaw has been named to the Advisory Board of the Michael A. Middleton Center for Race, Citizenship, and Justice, a joint project of the College of Arts and Science and the Law School at the University of Missouri . Shaw and Gilman Speak at UMKC Black Law Student Association Event

Partners John Shaw and Stacey Gilman were the featured speakers at a Lunch and Learn event sponsored by the Black Law Student Association of the University of Missouri-Kansas City on March 6, 2019. Shaw was 2019 Kansas City Lawyer of the Year for Litigation Securities, and practices in a variety of commercial, products liability, and securities matters. Gilman has practiced for over twenty years in the areas of intellectual property, advertising, unfair competition, class action matters, and other business litigation.

John Shaw has been nominated as Volunteer of the Year for Junior Achievement of Greater Kansas City for the 2017-18 school year. The mission of Junior Achievement of Greater Kansas City is to inspire and prepare young people to succeed in a global economy. During the 2017-18 school year, more than 950 volunteers helped to equip over 24,000 Kansas City-area students with the skills they need to succeed in both school and the workforce.
